Dr. Nancy White, Ph.D., archaeologist, and professor of anthropology at the University of South Florida, has dedicated over 30 years to conducting archaeological investigations in the Apalachicola River Valley, shedding light on the lives of these early inhabitants and later historic peoples. This region, rich in game, fish, shellfish, attracted many Native American cultural groups over 14,000 years. She will share information about who they were and how they lived. She will also discuss early Europeans that came to the area.
